Where are you going and will you be able to get to a supermarket? most countries will have nappies and wipes readily available, plus baby food although prob not as 'pure' as Ella's etc. Will you have facilities to make and store any baby food? if so then just take enough pre made stuff to last the first few days while you get a bit of cooking done. Of course if you are BLW you don't need specific baby food anyway (I think? not a BLWer myself)

We went on a 4 week holiday with ds recently and just took nappies to last the journey and the first day and food for the journey.

Which country are you going to?

No me either. He has hipp organic pouches at the moment and fruit pots/custard pots. He does have powdered cereal so that's easier enough to take its just the rest. He's just been weaned so we are still on soft food.

My friends just got back from Spain and they bought pouches over there, their dd liked them so much and they were so cheap they brought a load home with them.

I'm sure they have nappies there too, I'd just take enough to last you till you get a chance to go shopping :)

Ok, I am not sure what is available in Spanish supermarkets, I know France but not Spain. However the NatureNes range is pretty widely available across Europe I think so may be available in Spain, it's not got nasties in (poss a bit of salt, cant remember). it isn't organic and is a bit unimaginative compared with uk pouches, but if you are on first stage I think they do just veg purées etc which should be fine. if that brand isn't available I'm sure there will be some other brand that does veg purées if that is what your DS is on.

blw, so no food required here. Sorry, can't help with that side of it. You can always buy a banana and bash it up, and the lovely fruit out there might be a good time to introduce some finger food?

We took one pack of nappies, and then bought more nappies and wipes over there (3 weeks).
Don't forget your preferred nappy cream. We searched high and low on the other side of the world for some!
