Not sure if that's the right term..my DS aged 6 has a working diagnosis of ADD and dyspraxia (edpsych thinks too young to label but he is taught at school as if he has add/dyspraxia which has been amazing for him).
I'm finding him recently so so sensitive to the way things feel...his feet get wet (by going in water!) and he gets angry and refuses to walk. We're at the sandy beach, he gets sand on his feet, gets angry and refuses to walk. Right now he has a teeny tiny rub from a new pair of shoes, three days ago he got the mark, he's not worn them since then, but today put socks on (was getting ready for ice skating) and that prompted melt down...his foot hurts (magic mummy kiss, magic cream (germolene) and mr men band aid did not help!
I feel like I'm failing him as I'm not getting my response right. I have three other kids, including new baby, so it's difficult finding the time to sit with him, hold him, and soothe him, but I try my best!!!
