LO is 7.5 months and is a healthy happy baby and a good weight. He was weaned at 5 months then came down with laryngitis and a milk intolerance. Medicine and prescription milk later he was back to normal except he will not eat anything other then his new milk. He's having 30oz a day so plenty. But any solids that go near him he makes himself sick or refuses. Doctor says just keep trying little and often. Should I worry or is it ok for a nearly 8 month old to still be on milk only?? Thanks xx

Formula milk, right? I wouldn't worry then.
Do you let him play with food? Just hand him a rice cake or a bit of bread. Can go really wild & try carrot or pieces of banana too (make sure he's wearing his scruffiest clothes first).

When you say solids do you mean purree/porridge etc?

my LO gagged on anything 'solid/lumpey' until she got her top two front teeth in at around 10 months, then she was fine.

Yeah anything, purée and porridge we have tried nursery tried biscuits lol. He just has a little then gags/chokes and it all comes up. He did great at 5 months but after him being poorly nothing goes in. I don't mind as he does great on his new formular milk but others question me all the time and make me feel a bit crap for him.

Don't let others judgements make you feel bad!!! I don't know why some people insist on making people feel crap when they know nothing about the situation. Its frustrating enough the poor little mite has been hampered by a period of being poorly...you're doing great and he's getting his intake of nutrition, so try not to worry. I do think you doctor has given good advise...just be persistent and patient and in his own time he will eventually get there!!
