Young child and deodorant

DD is 6.8 and tall for her age. There are no signs off puberty, but I have noticed her clothes sometimes smell a little stale around the armpits if I sniff them close up. Should I be concerned, or is this normal? Could it be a sign of early puberty?

Can anyone recommend a deodorant for young children? Also, how do I discuss this issue with DD, who is sensitive and would be embarrassed at anything that sets her apart from her peers. Thanks

Watching with interest as DD 7.2 is exactly the same. I didn't realise it started this early but I guess this heat is making it more noticeable.

Bump.

I have noticed Amazon do a deodorant for younger skins, but £6 for a roll on seems a bit steep.

Could you get a pitrok?
They last ages and work very well.

Boots do this which seems quite reasonable

A shower daily should deal with it at this age. If DD2 (10) needs a bit more on really hot days like today a bit of hand gel in her armpits kills off the bacteria and deal with it fine. I wouldn't want to use deodorant on such young skin.

We have the same problem at 7.

I find that a daily underarm wash with soap has made all the difference.

We have a pitrock that can use if hot day and off out for the day.

Also a big difference has been stopping all products with tea tree oil in as this has been shown to imitate hormones. Google it, it's scary.

We were using lots of tea tree shampoos etc to combat nits ans when we stopped the underarm odour massively decreased even on hot days.
