I have a 17mth old, who this morning and this evening has refused to have his bottle of milk which is very out of character. Its almost as though he has become scared of the bottle and starts hitting at his mouth when i offer it. I thought it may be his teeth, but when i offered him a beaker of water, he took that ok. Its either the bottle or the milk. I'm thinking something must have happened to him related to the milk or bottle, but i always give him in it and nothing untoward has happened recently, or is he simply going off milk now. I would say its that and he loves food, and although he does seem a bit more excited to see food, he is very picky! Has anyone elsee gone through this, or have any ideas what this strange behaviour could mean??

Try milk in a sippy cup and see what his reaction is. He may just not want a bottle any more x

Might be to do with the heat? Especially if you warm it up? Might be too hot in this temperature?

Just go with cold/room temp or water and lots of yoghurt instead. My DCs are eating loads of yoghurt at the moment.

When my ds has been teething he rejects his bottle but is fine with the sippy cup - I think they fit in the mouth in different ways.
