DS 9 months is up for the day at 4.30am
Im returning to work next week and would be grateful for any tips to encourage him to sleep a bit later.

He has usually done a poo which wakes him up

I cant ignore him when he wakes as he shares with DD and he would wake her up...

Any wise words or tips appreciatedSmile

Are you me Butch!! I have exactly the same situation and I have no idea how to resolve it. I will usually leave DS until about 5.30 (after having changed his nappy) as he's not miserable, just awake and chatting and DD will usually sleep through it for a little while.

It makes no difference what time he goes to bed or how he's napped during the day. I'm not sure about your DS OP but mine is just starting to try and crawl so I'm thinking that maybe he wants to be up and about practicing rather than led in bed and there is the famous 9 month sleep regression. I'm hoping that it'll be a short lived phase (although it seems to have lasted a very long time already) and that he isn't just an early waker by nature. So no advice I'm afraid but offering you a Brew in solidarity.

Similar problem here, my two tactics are not letting him nap before 9am, and avoiding fruit and green veg at dinner time to try and stop the morning poo!
