3 month old weird sleeping position

Hi, just wondering if anyone can give me some advice. My 3 month old keeps getting into a funny position when he is put down at night. He half turns to his side and throws his head back really far it's really odd he seems completely comfortable but I can't sleep worrying he will turn fully onto his belly. Anyone else ever have this problem ?

My 11 week old does this. We call him the exorcist baby.

Babies often sleep in weird positions. My advice is take photos so you can laugh at them later .)

BTW, once they can roll onto their front by themselves it's safe to leave them to sleep like that, so don't worry.

All three of mine have done this!
It looks so uncomfortable with their head thrown back so far but hasn't had any effect on their sleep.
As for sleeping on their side, 2/3 of mine did this and just rolled onto their sides every time I rolled them onto their backs Hmm try not to worry about it (with DD I remember when she learnt to roll onto her tummy - I spent one whole night rolling her back, no less than 17 times. Needless to say I was exhausted the next day and didn't bother with DS1 or 2!)

Thanks for replies. It does look a little like he is possessed :) I will take your advice Yoni and take lots of pictures !

Having their head so far back also opens up their airways more clearly.

One of mine sleeps in the fetal position and one likes to sleep in every position imaginable.

Once they can roll, it's fine for them to sleep on their stomach. Though my twins slept on their sides from 3 weeks.
