Bedwetting but only at my house

Feels like all i do is post about DD (4) at the moment!

She has been dry during the day for over a year and dry at night for about 5 months. However, for the last three weeks or so, she has started to wet the bed.

I separated from H at New Year so she spends time at his overnight and doesn't wet the bed there - it is only at my home, the old marital home! Even when she comes into bed with me, she manages to do it. I get her on the toilet before bed, have a potty to hand at night and she still doesn't make it. If she hadn't been dry for months i would think she's not ready, but it really is just coming out of nowhere.

I was awake one time she did it (in my bed Sad ) and she was totally asleep so unaware! i ask her if she's asleep when she wets her own bed & she says yes. I wet the bed until i was quite old and know there can be a genetic link - mine linked to a dream where i couldn't find the toilet and so when i found one in dreamland, i wet the bed in real life! have asked DD if she has a dream that triggers it and she says no...

Any advice? And why just when she's home with me?!

Possibly the reason why she does it in her 'own' home is that she sleeps most soundly when she feels completely secure and at home. I know I never sleep so well anywhere else as I do at home and my 2 kids who were late to be dry at night often were dry if we/they slept somewhere else.

Have you changed squash lately? I've had problems with bedwetting when I buy particular squash i.e. those with a high concentration of juice or those that are red berry/summer fruit type ones. I've heard Ribena can make them wet the bed too.

It is quite normal for them to regress at night though. My eldest never did but my middle child tends to be dry for months then have a spell of wetting before going back to being dry - and I've had friends who have experienced the same.

Thanks - and perhaps you're right about the security thing! Nice thought if nothing else.

And i would obviously not put her back into pullups so will just have to grin & bear it and hope it's a stage! This too will pass Smile
