I've got a biting baby. Any advice?

DS is almost one. He's started to get quite bitey, usually when he's cross, but sometimes just because he likes it I think! He sinks his teeth into the shoulder of anyone holding him (usually me), or follows me around, literally trying to bite my ankles! He tried to bite his sister (3) a couple of times today.

He's not teething. He thinks being moved away is a game (so if I pick him up and put him elsewhere, he just races over as fast as he can to try again). 'No' is hilarious, apparently. I divert and distract if I catch him in time, but DD can't.

Any tips? I'm hopeful it'll pass quickly!

Dd1 went through several biting phases lots of stern 'no's', that makes mummy/daddy/whoever sad followed by sad face. I think it was just something that passed in the end. We also did moving away, if I was carrying dd when it happened I would put her down and move away myself and ignore her for a minute followed by biting isnt very nice (or something similar).

Thanks. I guess he's a bit little for any of that still, as he just thinks I'm playing.

I said no to dd when she bit me. Firm voice. Also treated her gentle hands so would say "gentle" and that would distract her and she'd do that instead.

I wouldn't move him away but I would put him down the instant he does it and walk away yourself.

At one he is definitely not too young.
