Hello,
My dd is 18 weeks old and for the past few weeks has been rolling over more and more, she can now make her way across the living room floor in rapid time!
She has this new thing where she sleeps on her side, I roll her back but she only rolls back straight away, she can roll back to her back easily by herself so should I be concerned? I no baby's are only ment to sleep on their backs and i'm really conscious about cot death prevention so I just wanted to make sure it was okay to leave her?
She does go right on her tummy sometimes when she's asleep but I keep checking her and roll her back if he does.

Thank u in advance!

I think when they can roll themselves it doesn't matter which way they sleep, just make sure her sleeping environment is safe (nothing she can get tangled in/suffocate in) and she'll be fine. Keep putting her down on her back but if she rolls herself into a different position she should be fine.

I freaked out when my DS started doing this, but he would also roll onto his tummy and couldn't roll back for a good few months. He is fine though and now sleeps in every position imaginable (currently on his tummy, with his knees curled up under him, face-planted into the mattress)....

Thank you for responding,
I think I'm just in mummy panic mode, I do everything by the book as I can't bring myself not too, but your right she can roll back so she's fine!

Once they can do it then they are strong enough to sleep that way - still always put her on her back to sleep but let her move how she wants. My dd always rolls over to her front now, much happier that way.

My dts1 has slept on his side since around 3 months during naps without dts2. He still sleeps in foetal position in stroller.

As long as she'supported I think it's fine. I panicked too.
