Bed wetting - HELP!!

My daughter is 2 yrs and 8 months old.
She was toilet trained at 2 yrs and 2 weeks and has been so good, she never wet the bed or had accidents....... until the last 4 weeks!
She now wets the bed almost every night. We don't give her a cup of milk anymore and don't give her any drink for at least the last hour she's up. We take her to the toilet before she goes to sleep, and I wake her again about 2 hours later and take her to the toilet again. But she still wees in her bed!!
We are frustrated at how she has regressed, not to mention all of the washing!! She had been going to bed in knickers and not wetting the bed for almost 8 months after all! Please help if you have any ideas for me. Thanks, Julie

My DS1 who has been tiolet trainined for a year still has pull ones at night. He goes to the tiolet before bed . Has her routine changed at all, new nursery etc. Somtimes a chamge in routine can make children regress.

2 years 8 months is very young to be dry at night. Try putting her in pull ups.
Is she drinking plenty during the day. We had a problem with DD3 and bedwetting. She regular attended the enuresis clinic who told her she must have a least 7 drinks a day. The doctor alos told us not to restrict drinks of water before bed as this can actually have the oppasite affect to what you want,

don't wish to panic anyone but its very common for school age children (especially boys with a family history of bedweting) to wet the bed at night.

Why did the dr say reducing drinks will have the opposite affect? I am having trouble with my 4 yr old girl, she trained in the day at 2yrs, no problems, but cant seem to do the night. She says she cant feel it.Shes been in pull ups.

It has the opposite effect because the more they drink, the more their bladder stretches - which increases the capacity of the bladder and so increases the time they are able to hold their urine for.

I'd agree that she's very young to be dry at night - most children aren't dry at night at the same time they are dry in the day.

Don't restrict her drinks, and don't think of it as regression - not at such a young age. You could try pyjama pants, which will take the pressure off her and you. Chances are that if she's really ready for night-time dryness, it won't be long before you can ditch them again.
