I've posted before about screaming dd pos reflux, well I've got prescription for renitidine, bed is propped up, not laying her down straight from a feed-all sorted. EXCEPT she's still refusing to f***g sleep!! She feeds every 2hrs so tonight fed at 8.30 for 1 hour winded and put down, whined for another whole hour (no sleep for me) now due another feed. Round and round we go. Partner is laid asleep snoring his lucky fat non breast feeding head off and I'm sat here with nocturnal baby hanging off my tit praying for more than 2hrs sleep tonight.
It's just so relentless, she's 8wks tomorrow, I know she's getting enough milk because I've expressed and get loads. I'm only having one baby!! Grrrr!!!

Hi planned.

So sorry you're going through this. DS2 had reflux and never slept either. I can't offer much advice as I never got a solution to the lack of sleep - hope someone else can come along and offer some magic wisdom.
But I did want to show support. The lack of sleep is a killer.

If she's feeding well and gaining weight, can you extend the feeds to every three hours?
Is she right by your bed, so you at least don't have to get up?

Looking back on that time I'd have remortgaged the house (not joking - truly wish I'd thought of it at the time) to afford a night nurse twice a week, who fed expressed milk so I could sleep through. The two-hours a night every night for weeks on end is like torture. Even one or two nights a week would help restore your health. Is there any way that could be possible?

On the bright side, my chronic reflux, chronic non sleeper now sleeps like a log all night long. It took a while (you don't want to know how long as he wasn't typical) but he got there in the end.

Oh planned I'm sorry, reflux is the devils work!!

Give the meds time to kick in, dd took a couple of days to make any improvement

The ONLY way dd would sleep is on her belly, but now on meds she settles on her back just fine
