hi, when i picked up my 3 and half yr old son frm preschool today i had to sign the accident book. he had a cut head nose and all above his top lip. they said thay they had been jumping over hurdles in the playground on concrete i presume from his face, and that he had clipped his foot on one of the hurdles and fell straight onto his face. I was to shocked to really say anything to them when i picked him up. but when i took him out later everyone has been commenting on how he injured his face and when i said at preschool jumping hurdles they were r shocked. I want to say something to the manager there but not to over-react. any advice please?

ive spoke to the manager at the preschool. she wasnt on duty when it happened but she said yes it was on concrete. she said he had caught his foot on the hurdle and fell straight onto his face. i said that i will keep him off till it heals as i want the scabs to heal first. i also said that i understand that kids can trip over anything but i would prefer it that when they played hurdles again on concrete i didnt want my son to do it. she said well thats your choice, i dont think she was that happy about it but as im 36 wks pregnant i dont really want to be worrying that my son is going to smash his face up again.

My ds gashed his chin with childminder.. he decided to climb on a wall. He has a little scar now and it seemed much worse at the time. Once all dramam passed realised that accidents do happen and ds was much more cautious following that.
