Help! My 7 month ds appears to be teething. He went to bed as normal at 7pm but woke up again an hour later and was crying so much, I got him up again. Kept him up for a while (he was perfectly happy downstairs, although I didn't play with him in case he thought it was playtime) but once put back to bed he has been crying and crying. Have given calpol but this doesn't seem to have helped. What else could I / should I do??

I discovered nurofen for babies at 9 mths, it worked better than calpol, check with usual folks before dosing up your son, but oh golly life got better after that, also FYI DD founf teeth 7 8 and 9 easy after the first 6... Hoping it stays that way.
If you're breastfeeding then offer the boob it has natural painkillers in it... Sadly now at 16 mths I can't use it but while you can it works!
Bonjela does work too and the teething powders by ashton and parsons calm baby well.

If this is teething behaviour Payney - my dd has had it for months on and off! I have to say on occasion I do just bring her down until she's really ready for bed, but then I have a daughter who doesn't sleep through the night so dn't listen to me.

Hope he stops crying soon.
