Why has 20 week old taken to drinking milk at night and not during the day?!

He used to love his milk during the day, hence my username! He's not interested during the day but feeds loads at night. He's FF. Time for weaning?

Nowt to do with weaning readiness. Wean when he can sit up, pick up things and put them in his mouth, chew and swallow and has no more tongue thrust reflex then he'll be ready.

What you're seeing is really, really common and for two reasons. One, daytimes are FUN. Look at all the STUFF, let's PLAY, let's do this, no no milk thanks, I don't want to lie down and have milk, I want UP. Oh it's night now, nights are dull, I'll have milk now it's dark thanks, nowt else happening is there?

You also find that they have a few developmental spurts which interrupt their sleep at this age. And they think 'well, I'm up anyway'.

It'll pass. Promise.

What hands said - have a google on reverse cycling (kelly mom website good though has a BIG BF bias).

Try going into a boring room regularly to do feeds.

Aaaaargh I am battling this. Lo will go 7 hours in the day and then demands hourly feeds at night.
I was doing bf on demand but now if its over 3 hours in the day she gets swaddled and persuaded to eat in our darkenef bedroom.
I'm also refusing to feed her under 3 hours atm at night. Its day 5 now and she will do 5ish feeds a day and go three and a half hours at night.
She won't feed in public at all though.
