Did anyone else feel emotional when their PFB got his/her first wobbly tooth?

Or should I go and put my head in a bucket of cold water and get a grip??????????

PFB meant Precious First Born obviously ...

DS is soooooo excited and happy that at last he has a wobbly tooth (one of the last in his class - he is 6 and a half)

And I just wanted to cuddle him and cry Sad - but I didn't of course because he would have been mortified (especially as he broke the news coming out of school and all his friends were milling around, not to mention the other mums Blush)

Soppy old moo aren't I?Sad

DS1 actually had adult teeth behind his bottom baby teeth so there was never a space there. I worried that they would be too far back in his mouth but as the dentist promised they have moved into position so beautifully that I had forgotten about the whole 'ordeal'.

(Maybe I do have too many children?!)

I do console myself that ds hasn't so far had a gappy smile, the odd skewy first tooth aside ! Others who lost theirs sooner have to wait up to year for the new ones to appear.

I wasn't emotional when DS1 lost his teeth, but DS2 has his first wobbly tooth, he's 6 and 1/2, and i was sitting thinking
"My little baby, my youngest, getting his big teeth, oh no"

But it passed!

omg the fourth on bottom is also wobbly - 3 at once !

Californiafrau ...
DON'T do the letter thing ... Smile. My friend did a teeny letter from the tooth fairy with sparkly pens and little stars in the envelope for her DD's first tooth and now her DD expects it every time ...
She says that the last time it was a nightmare, she forgot to do the letter thing and woke up at 2am remembering so had to go downstairs, find the pens, make a mini envelope, write the letter, find the stars ...
She says that with the first tooth she didn't realise that doing it for 20 would be such a hassle GrinGrin

Think I'm a bit late on this thread, however we have just noticed that my little girl (who will be 5 in november) has a couple of wobbly bottom teeth. Is this normal, is so early was not prepared for it until she is about 6. She did have her first teeth really early - any ideas?

I cried when both of my babies got their first tooth, because I realized I would never see that wonderful toothless grin again. But I also cried when they moved from baby seat to car seat, when they didn't need to be supported in the bath again, when they could feed themselves and didn't need me to feed them, when they started walking because I loved getting down on the floor and crawling with them, when they were able to pedal their trikes so they didn't need me to push them, when they could swim without arm bands.......I think I'm a hopeless case - and dd has her year 6 leavers assembly on Wednesday...........
