Exactly that. He loves the little motorbikes he sees in the park and we want to get him one but are unsure of which one.

Any suggestions?

Seriously? A motorbike for a 2yo??

StickEmWithThePointyEnd · 17/02/2013 13:22

Wouldn't a simple balance bike do?

claudedebussy · 17/02/2013 13:25

i think you mean a balance bike.

a motorbike has an engine, and while valentino rossi did start to learn at the age of 3 i don't think it's recommended for the general public. unless you're prepared to buy leathers and a helmet - all custom made because they don't make them that small. Smile apologies for the sarcasm - it felt good at the time but now i feel crap. although not so crap as to delete it, or not post...

This type of thing? or Or this?

My ds3 has the second Grin

loverstryst · 17/02/2013 13:26

ha ha ha!

No, of course I don't mean a motorbike with an engine. Really? Would anyone think that I meant that? (ZuleikaD)

I do mean a balance bike...but one that looks like a motorbike, is quite squat etc.

Ds3 is 2 btw :)

NotADragonOfSoup · 17/02/2013 13:28

Well, a motorbike is a bike with a motor. The clue is in the name.

Wallace · 17/02/2013 13:28

My first link for you then :)

ZuleikaD · 17/02/2013 13:28

Yes. Otherwise it's just a bike.

Wallace · 17/02/2013 13:29

Though kiddimotos are quite big. Ds2 was quite tall and couldn't really manage it until he was 2 and a half.

usualsuspect · 17/02/2013 13:41

ELC

Wallace · 17/02/2013 13:44

They are quite big those ones - my 6 and 11 year olds had more fun on their cousins one than my 2 year old!

loverstryst · 17/02/2013 13:51

Thanks all - and i stand corrected for mentioning 'motor' and not just bike!

I've been on mumsnet for years, nothing surprises me anymore.

usualsuspect · 17/02/2013 14:02

The ELC one is quite small, My DGS had it when he was about 2.

usualsuspect · 17/02/2013 14:03

I knew what you meant OP Grin

Wallace · 17/02/2013 14:16

Yes, Iggis, as I said my 2 year old ds has a motorbike :)

MoelFammau · 17/02/2013 16:51

I had a motorbike age 5.... 2 is pushing it! :-D

Wallace · 17/02/2013 19:14

If you look on you tube you can find videos of ONE year olds riding motorbikes with no stabilisers! Grin
