DS(2) has been trying to get to his willy a lot over the last few days, he managed to get his nappy right off this evening and sat fiddling with it Wink didn't want me or DH to look at it and when DH finally managed, he said it looked sore and the foreskin was quite tight?! Later when DS did a pee, he looked like it might have been a bit of effort- red watery eyes etc. What might this mean? Obviously, not being equipped with one myself I'm not too sure what to do about sore willies Wink
Any suggestions/ideas welcome

Try sticking some sudocreme on the end if it is red and sore looking. My DSs occasionally had this and sudocreme usually cleared it up. I also taught them to pull back their foreskins a bit in the bath and to give it a swish around Shock and this seemed to help stop it happening. (DH refused to teach them this as he 'doesn't have a foreskin anymore' - oh and I have???!! Confused)

If you are worried though, take him to GP as DH had his removed when little as it was 'too tight' apparently.

There is a condition called balanitis. Worth getting it checked out.

The foreskin isn't supposed to retract until they're over 2.

Thanks for the advice, may take him along to GP on Monday to be on safe side Smile

I just wanted to add that little boys should not be taught to pull back their foreskin. Just as we would not teach a little girl to clean under her 'clit hood'. They will figure out how to do it on their own when they are older.

A healthy normal penis should be washed the same way you would wash a finger.

My GP advised me to do this after I mentioned my DSs had had a few incidents of soreness. They were about 5 and 7 at the time I think.

The foreskin doesn't (and isn't supposed to) retract at age 2, though - 5 and 7 is different.
