Moving from potty to toilet

DS is 2.2 and has been out of nappies since around his 2nd birthday. He understood it all really quickly and it only took him about a fortnight to learn it all.

We have now moved the potty into the bathroom so he has to go there to use it which he is doing fine at.

However if I suggest him using the toilet he just says "no, potty" and refused. If I put him on it he says "no no no!" and wriggles off.

Should I just keep asking or is there a method to this?

He knows mummy and daddy use the toilet and we've always gone in front of him and explained what we are doing etc.

has he got a little seat?

I'd bribe him.

What would happen if you were at someone's house without the potty?

What do you have by way of adaptor seat/step etc? How secure and well-balanced does he feel sitting on the big loo?
Why do you feel there is a rush? My DS is about 50:50 loo and potty at 3.4 and I don't feel this is an issue really.

Yes, I agree, what's the rush? My ds is 3.5 and still prefers the potty if there is a choice.
