Oooh, I forgot about gobrilla. That gobrilla's got nipples like my daddy!

NoNoNoMYDoIt · 09/01/2013 11:16

oh i forgot 'snatch-oo' for statue. both mine (6 and 3) say this. i LOVE it.

they also both think a wolf is a 'woof'. they just won't believe that it's not.

i was very very sad the day DS stopped calling giraffes 'necks'. he was somewhere around 2.5.

we also have hippomopotamus sometimes.

beela · 09/01/2013 12:45

Aw! I get a little bit sad every time DS (2.3) learns to say something that he couldn't quite say before. We used to have 'copcopters' but now we have helicopters. And I think he has just about mastered 'caterpillar tracks', which used to be 'caterkiller traps'.

DS also has a really cute lisp, which I love but DH worries about.

spottywelly · 10/01/2013 19:18

2.5 yo DD's best are:

Demidoms - dominoes
Meek - milk
Ear-dot-dot - helicopter
Dicksaw - jigsaw
Boo-ee-ahs - strawberry
Deenan - dinner
Cocker-la-doo - cockerel
Par park - car park - "We gon park de par in de par park!"

So amazingly cute! Probably evolution trying to balance out the epic tantrums!

My favourite from DD who's 3 is packback... i never want her to get this the right way round Smile

gaelicsheep · 10/01/2013 23:25

Ooh, just remembered. When I'm getting her washed DD frequently tells me to "bugger off". At least that's what I thought when she first said it, I nearly dropped dead with shame and laughter in equal measure. Now I realise she is saying "plug off" as in take the plug out of the wash basin to run the water out!

familyfun · 11/01/2013 14:07

dd2 is 2.2, she says "my dooter" for scooter
"anastics" for gymnastics
she calls me maarmaar
take my "doto" for photo
"mine teddy" instead of my teddy
"my am big" for i am big

MorrisZapp · 11/01/2013 14:10

For reasons unfathomable, DS calls Norman Price (of Fireman Sam fame) Moment Price.

Moment.

Wtf?

dizzykitty · 11/01/2013 14:21

DD1 (just 2) got a 'Jumpoline' for her birthday!

EugenesAxe · 13/01/2013 20:09

NoNoNo - 'necks' is a classic! I like snatch-oo; it's kind of like skank you, them both being slightly nasty slang terms.

Skillbo - your post reminded me that DS doesn't have a backpack, but a ratpack :)

I love demidoms too!

MuntyCakes · 15/01/2013 17:04

I love 'necks' too! My DS is 3 and says 'binoclee-ars' for binoculars. He's getting better at talking now so doesn't make as many mistakes as he used to but I do remember a time when he called milk 'mant', bread 'bant' and so on. Unfortunately closed would be 'cant' (imagine a Cockney swearing)...that was particularly bad as he used to tell us whenever a door opened or closed anywhere we went!

issyocean · 15/01/2013 17:08

My DD haw loads but my absolute favorite is Moobs Like Jagger Grin

ElleDee · 15/01/2013 22:40

DD often points her finger and shouts 'cock! cock!' Much to my disappointment its just the clock she's pointing at!
Also:
'mup' = pick me up
'no' - snow (current affairs!)
'mack mon' - that one (obvs)

SPsFanjoIsAsComfyAsAOnesie · 15/01/2013 22:49

The toddler (3) doesn't have great pronunciation. Coco pops is one of the few things he can say clearly.

If a toddler has a nosey in your pram and says aww cunt then toddles off, don't worry its a compliment. Hes saying aww cute.

For an unknown reason cute sounds like cunt! Not a clue how he does it.

He calls his daddy diddy and I'm just mum

MummytoMog · 15/01/2013 23:17

DD has a speech delay, so my heart nearly melted into a giant gooey lump when she sipped my drink and said 'mmmm, toolicious mummy cup'. We love the way she says 'w' dubbleboo and she says 'careful' like Bianca from Eastenders...
