I went round my mum's to see my 3 year old niece with my lg (11 months old) and my lg 'bashed' her at first we all giggled a bit but my lg started getting quite hard and upset with herself so I took her into a different room, we went over the next week and even though my lg was on my knee and my niece had her back to us she launched for her hair and tugged and anything else she could get hold of and pull aggressively ie top, trousers etc. iv noticed she can even be like this with me. I tell her no firmly each time. should I be worried about the huge aggression she has with these actions?
thankyou

No. Perfectly normal IMO - reaching, grabbing, wanting to hold things. Just say 'no' firmly and quietly and make a fuss of the 'injured' party.

It's not aggression. You just say 'no hitting, hitting hurts' or no 'pulling hair' or whatever calmly and perhaps put your LO down on the floor.

I don't think it's aggression. It's just curiosity and not knowing that she's supposed to be gentle.

My ten month old often pulls our hair, pulls at clothes, glasses etc.

We tell her 'no' and remove her hand from whatever she's grabbing but that's it.

She's just learning to control her muscles, doesn't understand that other people are there for anything other than to amuse her. I honestly think you don't need to worry. Just remove and distract. (those skills will come in handy when you have a toddler :-)
