Hi ladies,

I desperately need some sleep advice, my dd has been a brilliant sleeper, from 8 weeks she would sleep through till 6am. Since she has turned 1 her sleeping has got slightly erratic, she is waking at 3am and we probably did the worse than in the world and put her in bed with us! Over the last 3 weeks she is waking up an hour after putting we to bed and going hysterical, she will just not go back to sleep, it took us 2 hours last Friday night of just putting her back into bed, she finally went to sleep at 12 but then
Woke at 3am again!!!

We are at our wits end, do you just continue with putting her back into bed and hope this will soon pass or does any one else have any other useful suggestions?

Can you take the side of the cot. Had the same thing with my 22 month old. Just did not want to sleep.

Took the side of and have had no problems since.

How much sleep is she having in the day?

We have out her in her cot bed last week as last Sunday she was screaming so much she managed to escape out of her cot. That night I was a bit hesitant to put her back in the cot so she slept with us and she slept all night and didn't wake up once.

She normally sleeps during the day for anything from an hour to hour and half depending on how busy she has been.

DH is currently putting her back into bed again, this has been going on nearly an hour now Hmm

Well she's not sleeping too much in the day, is she getting enough calories? Think she may have just decided she prefers it in your bed though and it may take a while to get the message across, unless she is teething or unwell?

Jilted I think the whole thing is she does just want to be in our bed!! I think we may have caused this and now have to unfortunately deal with it.

The poor little thing is going hysterical but DH is being good and just putting her back into bedConfused

Try googling askdrsears bed to crib. It's aimed at parents who've had their babies sleep in their beds and now want to move them into their own bed so may have a couple of tips.
