Sleep times

Dd is roughly 11weeks old n I have learnt the hard way that by 10pm that's her deep sleep moment. She takes power naps all day. Is it too early for sleep routine trial? She had colic which resolved mostly...but I found she has silent reflux which is doing my head in.
But I digress. So everyday at 8 pm I bring her to the room, lights dimmed , to get used to sleepy time. She starts screaming n really hates being put to bed. Everyday we fight till 1030pm then she drops. She was bf till 6 wks then mixed fed for two wks now ff (I had to take powerful pain killers m I ran out)
I can't get a fixed timing on her feeds... She used to be fed 3hrly....sometimes she sleeps in my arms n then it would be 4/5hrs till she feeds again...

What am I doing wrong? I'm exhausted beyond belief n my migraines r so frequent that I'm puking from the pain. I had SPD n that left residual pain...

Suggestions r welcome as to how can I get her to stop fighting her bed times...she can cry for over an hour in protest!

What do you do to try to get her to sleep Num? Does she fall asleep on the bottle? Have you tried raising the head end if her Moses basket slightly? This may help with the reflux. Does she have a bath and a cuddle? Have you tried swaddling and white noise?

Also think the naps could be an issue, she might be over tired. Try googling askdrsears refuses nap and askdrsears 31 ways to get your baby to sleep.

Are the 4 to 5 hour gaps between feeds during the day? If so, you could do with switching things around in so that she takes the long gaps at night. I know you are tired and can remember how awful sleep deprivation is, but try to get her outside every day. The light will help reset her clock.

Have a look in your library for a book called Sound Sleep, not sure who its by but its an nct book and is available from the nct shop.

Sometimes she has a bottle around 8pm n she might fall asleep ...but as soon as I put her down, if I'm lucky she will sleep half hour before she wakes up n starts streaming. If she hasn't had a bottle I try to rock her in my rocker at the same time everyday. I have her crib tilted high , I feed her upright bburp her frequently hold her up atleast 45 min after each feed.
Recently she takes a bottle at about 10 -12pm....wake up four hrs later I give her a feed which she will only have half...then wake up couple of hours later not for feed ( she puked every time I fed her at that interval) so I pick her, end up in my bed she will sleep at least 5 hrs. (Once she went 9hrs without feed....I tried to wake n feed her she clamped her jaw n wouldn't open for all the milk in the world.)
I can't sleep when she is in the bed. She is a heat seeking missile....no matter how far I put her , she end up under my arm pit...n will only sleep that way....
During the day the only way she will sleep is if I hold her or else it's an hour max ...

Do you live on your own Num? If not, how about giving her the bottle at 8 then passing her over for DH to hold until her next bottle and bring her up to you after the 10pmish bottle?

If she is too warm to sleep with, could you wear lighter clothes in bed? Just thinking that if this is where she is happy it might be easier to go with the flow.

There is a reflux support thread in the Breast & Bottle section which you might find helpful.

Did you get a look at the links or book?
