Sibling rivalry books - any recommendations?

Hi

We are expecting DC2 next year, DS will be 5.

I am interested in reading up (yes I know books cannot give you all the answers!) on sibling relationships with the aim of reducing any potential rivalry and encouraging them to get on. Both DH and I don't really get on with our close-in-age siblings (both then and now), so keen to not replicate our experience if we can.

Any recommendations for books?

TIA

I really liked suggestions in Penelope Leach's book (Baby & child??). By the look of it you are asking at the right time because she says you need to have your eldest child looking at his sibling benevolently by the time the second one starts crawling and touching eldest one's stuff. Her suggestions looked like coming sense but it would be interesting if there are any books addressing this specific issue.

There's. A book I think called sibling rivalry by the people who wrote, 'how to talk so children will listen and listen so children will talk'its fab.

Ah that's the one! Siblings without rivalry!
