This is normal isn't it?

DS2 is 3 weeks. During the day he sleeps and feeds. During the evening and night he does the same. But less sleeping and more whinging. What he wants is cuddles with me. So I take him to bed and we all get some sleep. DH thinks DS2 needs to learn to sleep in his crib and to tell night from day. I agree in principle. But not yet. DS1 got it by about 8 weeks with a bit of help from gina ford from 6 weeks.

Totally normal. Enjoy your gorgeous little bundle.

Totally normal. He'll go in his cot when he's ready, until then he knows he needs to be with you.

sounds normal. my baby is 9 weeks, still doesn't know night from day, still has fussiness in evenings, but will sleep in her Moses basket if I put her there while asleep! it's early days, just go with the flow.

Totally normal! Fussy evenings continued until about 7 weeks for us.

Yes of course. As a compromise put him down to sleep in his crib during the day with the curtains opened. That worked best for mine in terms of establishing Circadian rhythm.

My Dad called that evening thing 'the witching hour' - certainly both mine exhibited it (although DD slightly more happy to chill out awake than DS).
