just about to put my new duvet and pillows on my bed
exciting stuff
amgoing to leave planning too
oooh 0 what bad teachers hey!!

kmg1 · 10/01/2004 20:00

Hi! Have just read the 'teaching' thread, and definitely need a drink. Who's behind the bar? Large dry white wine please.

Hulababy · 10/01/2004 20:03

Popsy!!! I keep vowing to go anywhere near that thread and keep giving in. I will give myself lines soon if I go near again!

kmg - it is an interesting thread to say the least

Did you manage to spend all of your vouchers then? Get anything nice? Did you get your duvet with them or end up at Next?

popsycal · 10/01/2004 20:03

me and hula need drinks too!!!
hi kmg!

kmg1 · 10/01/2004 20:04

DH has gone to see LoTR2, I'm supposed to be tackling the huge pile of ironing ...

popsycal · 10/01/2004 20:05

we spent most of m&s vouchers....still got LOADS of fenwicks vouchers (went to metro centre and no fenwicks there) afew next, house of fraser and some john lewis ones
pans and knives from fenwicks...
god - i must be nearly 30 if i am getting excited abotu that!
i am the same with THAT thread - think i wll just take a peek and not post
just can't help myself
my dh can't believe that i am being so restrained. In real life, I wouldn't be!

Hulababy · 10/01/2004 20:08

Fab shopping spree though. Spending lots of money but not paying yourself!!!

DH keeps telling me to ignore the thread and that it isn't necessary to say anything, that some people don't want to listen and already have such fixed opinions that it doesn't matter what we say. I can't help doing it though and end up winding myself up.

I need a big big drink - open a magnum of something someone!

popsycal · 10/01/2004 20:11

a big magnum coming up
i only have 1 small beer left in house
oh and an expenisve bottle of red wine bought for us a a pressie - dh warned me to stay away fromit befroe he went out
oh and 4 bottles of champagne...maybe the champagne needs to be opened
how do iopen champagne
thats how posh i am!!

Hulababy · 10/01/2004 20:11

I have a couple of baby items I want to get shut off. Not wanting money for them, other than postage. Is there somewhere on mumsnet I can offer then? Anyone know?

Hulababy · 10/01/2004 20:12

Twist the bottle and hold the cork. It should open with a 'lady's sigh' ad not a pop!

kmg1 · 10/01/2004 20:14

Popsy - When I was 14 I went to France and they explained to me in advance in French (I had no idea what was going to happen) ... then opened the champagne with a sabre. I almost had a heart attack. Quite impressive though.

popsycal · 10/01/2004 20:16

hulababy - try the noticeboard?

JanHR · 10/01/2004 20:19
