No teeth at 14 mo

The title says it all really - my dd is nearly 15mo old and has no teeth. The dentist and doctor both say this is fine, and the later the better as the teeth will be stronger (dh wonders how long we leave it before worrying though - when she is 27?!) It is not holding her back in anyway - she eats well, and has a go at anything we give her, but just wondered a)if anyone else has such a late-teething child, just out of curiosity and b)is it likely that it'll be very painful for her when it does happen as her gums will be very hard by now with all the chewing she's been doing?

Don't know what age they were, but my neighbour said her DS's could walk before they had any teeth. They are grown now and have all the normal adult teeth.

My DD got her first 2 teeth around her first birthday, shortly followed by another front tooth and she just recently got 3 more. She is 18 months now. I can't say whether your DD will find it painful or not but my DD certainly does. She is a sensitive little pickle though! I had heard the later the better too. Bit frustrating though for some reason isn't it? Guess I'm just looking forward to teething being done with!

My ds was 13 months before his first tooth came through. We are 18 months now and only on his 7th. He is a big sufferer im afraid but im sure completely normal. Sorry not to offer much more reassurance.

Thanks for replies, good to know she's not alone, not so good it seems to be tough for them tho. Having said that, my ds was 10 mo before his first tooth appeared and then they all came at once and dudnt give him much bother. She really seems like she might be teething now but I've been saying that on and off for about u
6 months!
