Problems with Occlusion <possibly wrong board>

Not sure where to post this really.
Took DS (age 4) to the dentist. All well with his teeth but the dentist said his 'occlusion' was wrong. Googling tells me this is how his upper and lower teeth line up when closed, right? Dentist also said to correct it by blowing bubbles.
My dentist is a fabulous dentist, but he's very abrupt and doesn't do chat or details (he's Polish, and my Polish mate says that's pretty usual, to apply a massive stereotype!)
So, I was ushered out before I could ask how this occlusion was wrong, why it was a problem etc etc. Anybody know?
But! There is another minor issue. DS has very slight problems with speech, and is off to see a speech therapist next Friday. (I took him a year ago and the ST told me to come back if his problems aren't fixed - it was quite minor, not being able to roll his rs (and it is a problem as we're Welsh speakers - I don't want him bullied) and I also mentioned his lisp, and his inability to say 'ng' as in thing. He was singing a carol in school, amusingly, Din Din Don, Din-a-din Don! But maybe not really funny after all.) Anyway, is this likely to be linked?? I guess I should mention it?

Sorry, especially if this is the wrong board!

Has anyone who is knowledgeable about tongue tie checked him out? And that doesn't normally mean your GP or dentist I'm afraid. Does he have any other tt problems such as allergy/intolerance, sleep problems, gap between front teeth, ear/nose/throat trouble, gastric problems etc? Did you have any feeding problems with either breast/bottle/solids?

DS1 has an open bite (he's 7) and a high narrow palate caused by undiagnosed tongue tie and mouth breathing as well as tongue thrusting. We have had his ties revised and he has now got braces to expand his palate and make room for his big teeth.

Yes, definitely checked for tongue-tie - the bf expert here snips tongue ties and she gave us both a thorough check when he was bfing. (She didn't check me for tongue tie obv!) No other problems whatsoever - no allergies, no ent problems, no problems with feeding anything to him, and he doesn't have a gap or anything like that. So the first I heard was the dentist's mutterings, and then I wondered whether the speech issue is linked.

Was it checked with biting on some occlussion paper or with a radiograph or in a quick check up?
I think this needs to be looked at properley. Get a second opinion by checking in with another dentist. If there is something to this you can look at a dentist with a specialism in Paediatric Dentistry. Or a hospital referral. I am not a dentist but the adult teeth may come through differently in some kids.

But yeah ask some people who really do know their stuff..

Ps please don't for anyone who say's they have a 'holistic' approach go for the peer reviewed science based approach.

Smeared - thanks for that! The occlusion was just by the dentist looking at him, and told me to get him to blow bubbles and it will be ok - clearly he's not worried at this stage. But maybe I should be! So I will check this out properly. Thank you!
