Ideas of activities to do with a lively 14 month old

DD has reached a stage where she is no longer happy with playing with her 'baby' toys and as she is much more independant now she is walking im finding it hard to keep her engaged in one activity as she is such an active child.

Currently we go for walks, go to the shops, have a walk down the road, play with a bucket of water (simple but very effective) and go to the park on the trike but im nearly 6 months pregnant with DC2 and could do with some ideas on things we can do in the house, especially with the colder weather on the way.

She used to like playing the drums with pots and pans but she doesnt seem interested in that anymore, she wants to climb and run around like a wild child!

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

My dd is just 1 and very similar. She's really into food so meals take up a good proportion of the day alot of the time. I'll let her get messy eating her own food and she will quite happily take her time this way. Afterwards inevitably we give her a bath (lots of bubbles and splashing).
She loves songs and we have a book with songs that we put on and follow the words in the book. Dancing to music/the radio is good for a few mins.
She likes to empty bags or the washing basket so sometimes I just fill bags with stuff and casually leave them around for her to find.
Ripping up junk mail or magazines is a good one too.

Why don't you encourage her to "climb and run around like a wild child"? Given that's what she wants to do and is good for her physical development.

How about one of those little trampolines with a handle, they're not that big, so you could bring inside if the weather is poor.
Swiiming is good too (and usually tires them out).
Soft plays are good too and usually have cheaper toddler sessions in the mornings.
