Nothing that's a choking hazard (ie whole grapes), not honey and preferably not chocolate. Pretty much anything else is fine.

they are quite salty/sugary so I would only give them occasionally

Whats good for lunches and dinner other than baby food? Its hard enough choosing my dinner!

good for lunches-
beans on toast (with lots to drink to make up for salt etc.),
homemade ricepud+fruit (canned if in a rush-orange segments are fine just keep an eye out, my daughter sucks the juice then spits the rest out)

scrambled egg/omlette, you can flavour these eg add some fish to introduce new ideas gradually. can also do hard boiled egg or egg mayo sarnie

really chunky soups are good, eg big chunks of veg+a bit of pasta, my daughter liked cauliflower cheese (if homemade not too unhealthy). also handy to have frozen veg eg broccoli, so have sticks of that then add a sauce eg a tomato based one

out and about-tuna+nat yog. instead of mayo sarnie or pitta

you can do buffet style finger foods like wedges of cheese, cucumber, toast etc
i'd avoid the mini fromage frais as they add tons of sugar, but you can buy a big tub of natural fatty greek yoghurt and give say 5 or 6 spoons as one portion
if giving any fruit juice, water it down 5 part water to 1 part juice otherwise things get very messy
melon is always good

you dont have to do a savoury main+sweet pud every day, eg rice pud with fruit one day is nutritious enough as a meal + helps teach them not to always expect something sweet at the end of a meal

try offering a version of what you're having rather than cooking something sep. and remember that if they dont like it the first time round they may like it the tenth. oooh jacket potatoes are good too with cottage cheese, or cheesy mash, you can add half another veg to it for variety eg potato and swede/carrot, then cheese and a herb eg garlic, then some fresh veg eg a tomato chopped at the side.

at ten months they can have anything except honey and salt, so just give them things you feel are safe in terms of avoiding choking. also, if you wouldn't eat it, dont make them.
