"nanny nanny"

Can anybody reassure me and tell me that I am being silly?

When me and my daughter (2.5) are at home either by ourselves or when her daddy is there it is usually me that she wants. However, as soon as we go to see nanny that's it I don't exist. If she wants a drink or cuddle nanny is the one...if I offer she pushes me away.

We do tend to spend alot of time with my mother in law as we get on really well (she is more like a mum to me). Could this be the reason or would this happen anyway?

Any advice appreciated...

my dd1 is very close to her grandparents and also my sister. she will always sulk when its time to go home, on several occasions she has chosen to stay at her grandparents rather than go with us. i am really happy she has this great bond with her relations as i didnt (still dont really) know my grndparents as they just werent interested.

I can relate to this...

I'm slightly jealous of my mum at the moment because she has come to stay for Christmas, and after only 48 hours my 17 month old dd is already favouring granny over me.

But it stands to reason why - I have to do all the nasty discipline bits (like take sharp pencils from her etc), and tell her off if she does something naughty. Also if dd throws a tantrum for a trivial reason, I generally ignore her until it passes whereas granny picks her up and makes a fuss over her (argggghhh!)
