Changing nursery - aged 2 - unsettling ?

Just wanted some opinions.
I have a new job.
Which has a nursery on site.
Haven't even been to look at it yet.
Ds is 2.
Very happy at a very good nursery.
Do you think a 2 yr old would be 'that unsettled' by a change ?

If the pros outweigh they cons then i'd do it. Will it save you a lot of money/travel etc?

How long has your ds been at his current nursery, how was he at settling in there ?

I moved my dd's preschools, she did about 2 terms at the first one but i didn't like it, and moved her but she had the long summer gap before starting new school. She hadn't ever really settled in at the first so that helped me feel ok about moving her.

But to be honest, any child will settle, of course if you do move your son you will be expecting a few tears whilst he adjusts, but if he's familiar with a nursery routine anyway he would probably settle faster this time than the first time round.

Good luck whatever you choose! Smile

How close is your current nursery to home? I have always found it easier having a nursery close to home in case I am off sick and also to avoid long whiny car jouneys home! Mind you, have been having some issues with our nursery & dd recently and considering moving her, but problem is ds is v. happy there and doesn't start school till Sept.

i'd leave her where she is if she's happy unless the new place offers radically better care or is massively cheaper.

wouldn't it be a pain to have to take her all the way to your work if you were having a day off?
