my daughter has become obssessed with pink objects. she hides them and wont play or touch them in case they get dirty.
i brought her pretty shiny shoes but she wont walk in them in case they get dust/sand/mad/water on.. she hides them in a bag.
if she is weraing a pink jumper she screams until it is taken off and hidden away.
... i am going mad! is she ocd or could this be a normal phase?

Sounds like the normal behaviour of an eccentric small child - ALL small children are eccentric btw!

They're all a bit odd at 3! I think it's the most "individual" time of life for most people - they are aware they are a separate person and can do things just because they feel like it, and they haven't developed any "filters" that tell them what is "normal" to do, so they just do what they feel like Grin She doesn't sound any worse than any other I've met, they all just find their own ways of being unique.

I used to collect erasers but wouldnt use them in case they rubbed all away (which is true btw).

Yop, apart from advanced old age and being a toddler, you just can't get away with being quite so odd, can you?

should i just ignore it? or try and convince her dirt is ok!?
