What does your 10mo eat for breakfast?

I am a bit stuck for ideas and feeling a bit nosy, although judging from other threads I think Weetabix will be top of the list in general

(I don't give DS Weetabix as neither DH nor I like it and I don't think it's fair to give DS something I personally think tastes like cardboard...)

Thanks in advance.

Typical breakfasts would be:

Porridge with blueberries / peach / nectarine / apricot / raspberries / melon / whatever fruit I happen to have in the house

Rice cakes with fruit puree spread on top and some actual fruit pieces (see above) as well

Yoghurt with fruit (see above!) and some toast

Blueberry or plain pancakes

Drinks consist of - zilch because DS refuses any kind of liquid of any description except his milk! He won't take any juice, water or coconut water or smoothies or anything so I'm at my wit's end trying to keep him hydrated as it's hot where we live. If anyone has any ideas, then please do share!

Easiest pancakes in the world:
1 mug sr flour
1 mug milk
1 egg

Chuck into mixer bowl, mix until consistency of double cream (even easier if you have an electric mixer). Dollop into frying pan to mak American style fluffy pancakes. I often chuck a banana into the mixer too. DS loves them!

Also porridge, bagels, toast, blueberries, strawberries, yogurt...

Oh, Oatibix rather than Weetabix - much lower salt too.

lepetitchoufleur I made my DD pancakes in big batches and freeze them with sheets of baking parchment inbetween, then you can just take them out when needed, about 30 seconds in the microwave and they are done. Pancakes whenever you like!

I am happy to report that DH and I thoroughly enjiyed our pancake breakfast. As for DS, he thought it was too much fun to shred the pancakes to bits with his hands as to waste his time eating them! :)
I will try some of your other ideas soon.
Markstretch, how long do the pancakes keep in the freezer? I assume they can also be reheated in the toaster?

Playing is all still part of it :) he was exploring the texture and figuring out what to do with it :o

Oh, I know, I'm not worried, all the more for me!Grin

Napacab I had a similar issue with ds and was going to try to make jelly from baby juice etc to feel him his liquids as a solid. In the end he broke the drought himself so I don't have a proven recipe, but might be worth trying jelly to see if your little one will like it?
