Our DD is 4 mo and I struggle with what to put her in to sleep every night in this heat! Just wondered what everyone else is doing?

My 6mo is in a t shirt or sleeveless vest and nappy. It's horrible isn't it :(

NickNacks · 25/07/2012 22:07

Just a nappy (23 months)

MikeLitoris · 25/07/2012 22:09

Nappy and sleeveless vest.

The thermometer in dd2's room is showing 27degree.

Kaloobear · 25/07/2012 22:12

Nappy and 1 tog sleeping bag. She's 10mo.

MrsHoarder · 25/07/2012 22:19

Nappy and short sleeve vest. As I'm warm in the same room withabout the same on it seems right.

Might put a sheet out thin blanket over him if I wake up cold like 2 nights ago.

lizardqueenie · 25/07/2012 22:23

Just a nappy & sleeveless vest 22 months old. Her first time ever with no sleeping bag. I'm amazed she isn't leaping around the bed!

xMinerva · 25/07/2012 22:24

22 months, nappy/vest/light blanket.

3yr old, tried to get him into bed with just pull ups and a light blanket but he insisted on PJ's and his duvet. I drew the line at his "bed socks" though. (Thick wolly winter socks) Hmm. I went in after he was asleep and removed the duvet.

DD3 is wearing the same as ever- nappy, babygro and vest. We had our house roof space completely hyperinsulated in March and I'm pleased to report that it seems to be working as it is a very pleasant temperature upstairs (vs this time last year when in this heat it would have been about 35C up there...).

duchesse · 25/07/2012 22:30

Oh I should add that DD always kicks off all covers, so any protection from cold must be worn! Hence the same as usual clothing. Although to be fair we are in the same room at the moment and also still in usual PJs and thick down duvet. Would have been dead from heat exhaustion with this quilt last year. Now pleasantly balmy.

LaVitaBellissima · 25/07/2012 22:31

Twins 21 months just wearing nappies and Summer grow bags, I think they are 0.5 tog.

It's boiling!!!!

Newtothisstuff · 25/07/2012 23:08

DD2 is 10 weeks and she's in a nappy and vest, we had an awful night last night she was too hot and grumpy

MrsRV · 26/07/2012 12:22

My DD doesn't seem to settle unless she has something over her so think I'll do nappy and 1.5 grobag tonight. She had nappy, vest & grobag last night. Slept like an angel but soaked with sweat this morning! Sweaty baba isn't nice!!! Grin

Could you use a sheet instead? Overheating tiny babies isn't good...

OneOfMyTurnsComingOn · 26/07/2012 14:13

Just a nappy - 20 mths. She won't have anything over her. It's a modern hot house and she sweats.

Tigresswoods · 26/07/2012 14:14

Nappy. 2.6

maybejusttheone · 26/07/2012 14:22

nappy and t-shirt, no sleeping bag or blanket (21 months)

StrandedBear · 26/07/2012 14:52

Nappy, vest and very light blanket for DD (2.5) she wont sleep without 'jmmy jams and blanket, NOW MUMMY'

nickelbarapasaurus · 26/07/2012 14:53

DD would have been sleeping in just a vest if it weren't for the eczema.

as it is, she's wearing a full baby grow with the cuffs folded over her hands.
and she's not sleeping all night because she's sweaty and itchy and is rubbing instead of scratching.

and i can't put her in on her own because she needs to be fed constantly (for some unknown reason)

nickelbarapasaurus · 26/07/2012 14:54

we've got a fan running all night and the windows open.

rrreow · 26/07/2012 17:02

DS 14m nappy & short sleeve vest. Our bedroom is currently 30 degrees!! We have a fan on all night which helps (although for me personally sweaty neck + fan = incredibly stiff neck in the morning!).

notcitrus · 26/07/2012 18:32

Dd 5mo just nappy in grobag. Didn't seem to realise she was supposed to sleep until I zipped her up. She's in the bay window with a through draught so should be cool enough.

Ds nearly 4 in his t shirt and nothing else, nestled into the duvet. I figure if he stays in his room and is rested by morning he can do as he pleases.
