Cot or bed?

just wanted a second opinion really. My dd2 twice in a week has got her knee wedged In the cot bars and I'm wondering whether it night be best to put her into her cot bed. Shes a bit young really only 19.5 m but she has chunky legs and she needed baby oil to be able to push her knee back thru :(

So come on wise MN-ers what's the consensus ?:)

TIA

Could you use a baby sleeping bag? We have the merino ones which do two age groups 0-2 years and 2-4 years . Neither children get stuck as leg won't really go through

However if you are planning on not using a cot for much longer maybe a bed ( or sides off cot?

Used to use grow bags but she kept trying to walk in them and so went for a quilt instead so she wouldn't fall over and wack her face :) she's such an active sleeper she just got herself all twisted round :o

I put DS in a bed when he was 20 mo as expecting DC2 and didnt want to have to buy another cot for a short time. It was successful at first. However, now he's figured out he can get out of the bed, he will not stay in it when put in it at night, and it's taking me an hour to settle him (and 50% of the time he ends up in the cot as I get fed up taking him back, but he now doesnt really like the cot, so that entails screaming). Basically, I'm wishing I'd left it a bit longer, but maybe this is just a bad week.
