Anyone else's dc's behaviour really deteriorating at end of term?

Ds is 9 and for about the past 2 weeks he is really grumpy, stroppy, argumentative. He reports daily arguments in the playground (who's done/said what horrible thing to whom). He has dark rings round his eyes though can't get to sleep any earlier than normal, and I have to wake him in the mornings. He is like a teenager, but I have one of those too and they aren't anything like he is at the moment Grin

Aaarrrrgggghhhh.....2 days to go. I cannot wait. He can spend the first week recharging, then I expect my lovely boy to return Smile

Anyone else suffering?

Yes. And several friends have said the same.

Yes, all 30 of my class ;)

Just joking- but definitely a good handful of them, and another handful who yawn all day long.

Plus their teacher is the same- can't settle to an early night, can't wake up in the mornings, zero inclination to do ANYTHING!

Yes! Yes! Yes! My ds who's 6 and at the end of year 1 is grumpy, irritable, tired, impatient and seems to have no energy. Last day of term on Friday. Can't wait!

Same here. Yr 1 dd veers between a stroppy toddler and a hormonal teen on a daily basis. She's been in fairyland for the past couple of weeks and i have to turf her out of bed every morning. Can't wait till Friday.

It is end-of-termitis, best cure is a long summer holiday with lie-ins, good ol' British rain and scabbed knees from all the outdoor adventures.

Ds had a complete melt down this morning before we left for school. He was completely hysterical. The amount of screaming and shouting he does when he has these tantrums, its a wonder my neighbours haven't called ss! I am so hoping he settles down in the holidays!

Glad it isn't just me!
One more day to go...

Yes - August-born DS1 at the end of reception is knackered - and I'm knackered from nagging him to get up, dressed, eat breakfast etc.
