DD was classed as non verbal less than 8 mths ago
Now she is prolific, her clarity is improving but I and most people know whats she is saying.
She has some other mild delays due to Noonan Syndrome but is FAB.U.LOUS!
Ok so I'm asking about
proper use of plurals
feet foot etc
counting properly up to what number?
Counting all the time, anything?
Pronouns, and asking
whats that mummy?
I'm so proud of her as she has climbed mountains, nursery today saidaside from occasional clarity her speech was on a par and sometimes better than other kids her age
I need to know if she was humouring me to get me to take dd to more sessions (SN funding they get for her)
I keep dd away from other kids her age, for mostly personal reasons so I would not know what an average child (not that any of you have an average child of course but you know... :))
Go on indulge me...

Heh Piffle, it's JakB (usually found on SN about DD!).
Well, my DS who is 3 and 4 months can count up to 10 most of the time (but has trouble with 10 sometimes), asks lots of questions, is chatty and strings several sentences together, uses lots of adjectives, is still struggling with proper use of plurals and is coherent about 70 per cen of the time (often have to ask him to repeat something). He has started to talk about feelings and will ask me how I feel or 'summarise', 'You're sad mummy' (usually when he's been naughty!). He does sruggle a bit with none-fluency, has a slight 'stammer' and will take a while to get his words out. HTH.
Ps How AMAZING is your DD?! Such fantastic news.

great news about your dd

hope she is getting a lot of use out of her coat Smile

dd2 (3.4) can count to 10, speaks quite fluently but still says things like 'Mup me' (pick me up mummy Grin) and has some problems prounouncing words clearly (can't say ch says sh instead) and says 'lello' that old chestnut. I think most people could understand her and she can usually get across what she wants quite clearly although sometimes takes AAAAAAAAAAAGes to get going (starts a sentence 6 times before finally spitting it out Grin)

Glad I'm heading in teh right direction with ehr then.I'm worried as I sort of told the SALT she was seeing (ha ha ha seeing being operative word useless turds) a year ago that they were useless and I would see to her speech myself - I opted out if you will Grin
They were REALLY useless offering no help, saying well we can hardly diagnose any speech problem if she doesn't actually spek can we? WTF??
Ok so she can count, like count things not just rote counting - she is counting the ridges in the radiator and buttons on her coats etc, she can count up to 13 (number of stairs we have lol) and then from 20 onwards for a while.
And the whats the mummy is wanting to know what every button on the dishwasher is called and what its for - she has good memory and if I ask her to put on the economy wash she can :)
I have been so introverted about her development that I realy have no idea what normal behaviour is IYSWIM
I am exceptionally paranoid about dd though...
Thanks so much I was beginning to feel like a no mates queen!

she sounds bright to me!

DD is almost 4.5yo, and sounds a similar level, Piffle, although we still struggle to understand her (pronunciation is awful, but I keep being told she doesn't need speech therapy).
Am glad to hear your DD has come on so well.
