How to entertain a 2yo over the summer?!

I'm a teacher so got this long summer holiday looming ahead which I'm quite daunted about keeping my toddler busy.

In term time she does ballet and a singing group along with her nursery days but obviously that'll all be closed.

We are in the Kingston area. Any ideas anyone?!

Have you got a Sure Start centre near you?

Mine have a summer timetable on with Messy Play/Story time/Sensory sessions.

Swimming, soft play, go for walks and feed ducks/collect leaves, twigs etc/picnics, visit museums/art galleries/libraries, get wellies on and splash in puddles (becuase we all know there's going to be plenty Hmm) Join in with the olympics by recreating some of the events at home.

I don't live in Kingston so just listing things that we'll be doing really.

If you have a car...

There's a lovely playgroup in Tolworth which runs on a Friday morning all through the summer 9.45am-12pm - Hook Scout Hut, Kent Way, Off Tolworth Road

Little Piglets - Hersham (indoor and big outdoor play area with nice cafe- farm animals, softplay, ride ons etc)

David Lloyd's Kids centre in Raynes Park - Softplay, classes and cafe (you don't have to be a member to get in, but it's not cheap) Look online for classes

Painshill Park nr Esher, Mercedes Benz world in Weybridge, Jupiter Jo's softplay in Chessington, Little Hamsters in Ham, the walk from Ham side to Teddington across the lock, Wimbledon Park, Cottenham Park playground, Wimbledon common, Isabella Plantation in Richmond Park, the walk from Richmond Bridge along the river, the boat from Kingston to Hampton Court, Bushey Park

Hope that helps!

'course Grin

I'll be the one with the terrifyingly feral toddler and nutter crawling baby.

Thanks for the info about Tolworth Rec - didn't know about that one.

Tire her out everyday-fresh air and lots of exercise.
