Please help with leaking nappies!

I'd be grateful if anyone has any bright ideas. My ds is nearly two. He's very tall and about 15kg. Looks more like a 3 year old. Our problem is that no nappies we use seem to be sufficiently absorbant to keep him dry overnight. Poor thing is waking up wet most mornings! We've tried Pampers and Huggies, of various kinds, in size 5 and size 6. Anyone know of a wonder-product?? Thank you!

Have you tried putting a wrap over the top, like they use with washable nappies? They also sell cloth inserts for use in cloth nappies to make them more absorbant. Maybe you could put one of those in as well.

Other than that, I'd be giving him loads to drink in the morning and then cutting it down from about 4pm.

Lidl's own brand nappies are the best i have ever used imo.

Or you could try reusuables over night- motherease birth to pottie ones plus their wraps are very leakproof. Although the age he is it's maybe not something you want to shell out for.

Thanks both of you. Hadn't thought about putting a wrap over the top. And yes, cutting down liquid a good idea too. He still enjoys a big cup of milk before he goes to bed...

Yeah, he sounds the same as my DN and that's what they had to do Smile.

2 nappies on !!

I use Aldi size 5 nappies for my 4yo ds, far better than Pampers imo.

Thank you everyone! Nannyof3, he has gone to sleep tonight with two nappies on which seems like a brilliantly simple solution. Fingers crossed!

we went through a phase of this and started doing a midnight change in her cot - she slept right through it!!

I used to put them in 2 nappies, and try a different brand (although you've done that - always worked for consistent poo leakages)
