Teething, is this normal?

DD is nearly 14 months, and has had a cold for about 8 months. Despite 5 weeks of antibiotics (not consecutive), she has smiled her way through life. Now my normally sunny-personality little girl doesn't nap in the day, her nose is streaming, she has bright red cheeks and gets really cranky before bedtime. She will eat breakfast, but less lunch than usual and hardly any dinner, unless it is ricecakes, or fromage frais. We're already waiting for an ENT referral, which I have chased, but are these symptoms normal for teething? Or is it cold-related and I should be more concerned?
Could I have some wise words and comfort, please?

Yes sounds like teething tonne the streaming nose is also caused by teething. Keep giving calpol and rub bonjela for kids on gums. Give her something cold to chew - my dd1 liked cold celery from the fridge bizarrely Grin

Well ds has a cold and is getting his molars atm. So we have rivers of snot - to get technical he has tons of thick grey / yellow snot while the odd teething runny nose he got before was clear almost like tears.

He really suffers for one to two months with teething. That would mean bright red cheeks / ears, small nose bleeds, whingy, difficult to get to sleep, wakes more often and won't go back to sleep after, eats less especially in evening, scratches his neck and upper back. But yes that is also similar to symptons of being ill with a cold (except red cheeks).

But a cold for 8 months! Its not several colds? Does she have a cough, ds is worse at night.
