Cows milk to boil or not to boil?

Hey guys I was wondering if you could help me. I have a 1 yr old and am starting to make the transition to cow's milk, I have not been giving any advice on what to do other than my mum stating that she was always told to boil it first to remove bacteria. I have not heard of this, nor have had experienced this with my oldest as she went off her bottles when she started solid food and didn't drink cow's milk until she was 3, (which i sought medical advice on at the time and was told it was fine as long as she was drinking other fluids and milk was somewhere in her diet, ie cereal, sauces atc.)
If anyone can help with this it would be much appreciated, I should also point out that I intend to give the milk warm as this is what she is used to.

Thanks in advance. x

I think it lowers it's nutritional content a bit.

No need, as it's pasteurized.

I would imagine ages ago it wasn't so you had to do that.

Also, by 1? Everything is going in their mouths anyway and sterilization, which is sort of pointless anyway, is no longer necessary.

Absolutely no need, save yourself the bother!!!!

Thanks guys, That's exactly what I thought too, I actually used the pasteurized argument with my dear mum this morning... :)

you have put my mind at ease and helped to prove my instincts right.

Thanks again.... I

Not only no need, but not recommended at all, the more it's heated especially boiled, the more nutrients are lost. In countries where unpasteurized milk is readily available there is a recommendation to boil when giving to the young or at risk - but even they show great pains to encourage not more than one and recommending UHT as better.
