Am I doing the right thing by ignoring him?

DH wants to roar back, but so far I've stopped him from getting involved.

Phew! I was identical slightly naughty at his age Blush , and I seem to remember my parents doing the same to me - shut the door and leave me to it!

He's dealing with his emotions in a very appropriate way. Praise him for it and growl at your DH yourself if he suggests joining in again!

it took a LOT of passive ordering between me and DH to get him in his room in the first place!

And DH only wanted to join in once pictures started coming off the walls down the stairs as a result of the bangs coming from DS's room...!

Ah well, he's over it now - he calmed himself down and came out and apologised off his own back so score one to us on that front.

Thx ladies :)

We just bought DD2 (9) a punch-bag to hang from her bedroom ceiling for this reason. It has worked a treat and beats clearing up broken objects and filling holes in walls hands down.

Lol I'll bear that in mind for future - haven't got any space for that kind of thing at the moment.
