Have you spoke to your health visitor or gp.They would be the best people to talk too.

Have you tried taking him to your GP? They will be able to point you in the right direction to get the proper support.

I sympathise as my DS was also a very fussy eater but when it came down to him eating sweetcorn, tomatoes and blueberries I put my foot down and refused to give hm anythign different to what DH and I, or the other children at nursery, were having. It took about a month for him to get the message but he didn't starve and he now eats a wide range of foods quite happily.

Your DS can't eat chips if you don't give them to him!

I've watched a few program's on this, but no actual experience.

From what I can remember, the best results came from parents who were very blasé about it, made no fuss, obviously encouraged to try new things-just by putting them on the tongue- not eating them, and slowly took it from there.

My friends ds is a very fussy eater yet at nursery he clears every plate Wink

Speak to your gp and asked to be referred.

How old is he?

Paediatricians will tell you not to worry, to keep calm (easier said than done!), keep giving him what he will eat and keep putting something new on the plate - can take them a long time before they try something new, but it is important to keep offering. Could you add tomato ketchup to the chips? - may not sound much but most kids love it, its a new taste and its actually pretty good for them (something about cooked tomatoes having lots of antioxidants). Don't make it into an issue or show your anxiety. My DD (2.8) has a very limited diet but we are following that advice and keeping our fingers crossed. Good luck!
