The things they (try to) get into their heads...

DD: (rather plaintively) "I can't get all about Jesus in my head"
Me: Confused
DD: I can't even think all about him in a church (we don't go to church)
Me: Confused Hmm

I rather think school (standard state primary, reception class) has been over-peddling the Easter story

We don't attend church, never have and probably won't be going to start doing so. Ds is 6 and comes home from the weekly school assembly taken by the local church youth leader spouting all sorts of dogma. As a believer, I'm ok with it as I think it's just a phase. DH is a strict atheist and is Shock! Weirdly, a kid in his class whose parents also never go to church and who has stated that these assemblies are boring and a load of rubbish is due to be baptized shortly.

I think it is really confusing for the poor kids when they do not have this 'dogma' as part of their cultural context any more. I'm finding it very hard to answer DDs questions, particularly as I'm not a believer. However I think it is her right to explore new concepts so I don't want to dismiss her musings completely. Like your DH though her Dad is rather less convinced and gets quite irate if he thinks people are feeding her "religious guff"
