'If you eat the bits in your yoghurt it will kill you' .........

Said my ds to another little boy at preschool today. They have taken it really seriously and had to tell the mum of the boy he said it to as he was really upset and refused to eat his yoghurt.

Apparantly my ds said it again and again and again....... the poor chap was distraught.

My ds is a confident little chap and has his own following at pre school, if he had said it to one of the other more robust boys they would have just said something like 'If you eat bread your head will fall off' but this one is a bit of a sensitive soul and so is him Mum, whi is probably upset.

I do have her number as they've had play dates before but I don't know her that well. Should I call her or leave it?

Lol at this killer yoghurt thing it's really made me laugh!

I sort of agree with blondehelen, maybe ring if he is really upset by it but do say that it is just a thing that little boys say - I mean I wouldn't ring to apologise and be really serious about the whole thing, maybe ring and say I'm sorry if my son upset yours today about the yoghurt... but kids are always saying these sort of things aren't they and try and have a laugh about it?

I was told bogeys were brain cells leaking out and loads of other silly things so I expect his Mum will understand!

killeryogurt · 09/02/2006 20:14

Had to spell it wrong

starlover · 09/02/2006 20:14

killeryogurt · 09/02/2006 20:16

Have to go and do 20 mins on my trampoline now. Back later.

Lauraa83 · 09/02/2006 20:18

sorry just read his mum is a drama queen - I wouldn't bother now than if that's he case

If she was nice I would have but if she's like that she'll probably just make an ever bigger thing out of it!

GDG · 09/02/2006 20:21

ROFL at this thread!!

I'd just mention it in passing when you next see the mother - really just to acknowledge that you were told about it and you told ds it had upset the other boy. Really just to safe face iyswim - not because I think this is really a big issue!

tbh it could actually kill yuo... you might choke on a lump..

you should be glad that your ds is taking health and safety so seriously... and so should the school!

Redtartanlass · 09/02/2006 20:28

Is killer yoghurt similar to shark infested custard

bran · 09/02/2006 20:29

Does anyone else think that Killeryogurt sounds like an Irish down? (pronounced Killery-o-gurt)

Have nothing at all useful to say on the subject I'm afraid.

killeryoghurt · 09/02/2006 20:32

i am the real killer yoghurt..... STAY AWAY FROM THE YOGHURT DANGER! DANGER!

bran · 09/02/2006 20:33

btw that should have read Irish 'town' - can't type so off to watch tv instead.

WideWebWitch · 09/02/2006 20:57

God, over the top reaction, little boys DO say things like this. She has a boy, no big deal imo. If the other mother has any sense she'll say something like 'no, bits in yoghurts do not kill you, I promise. That boy is wrong.' and it will all be forgotten about. I wouldn't call anyone, it will all be forgotten in a week.

Mercy · 09/02/2006 21:01

Leave it to the nursery to deal with but agree be v friendly to the mum next time you see her.

And tell your ds not to say things like that again.

Kids eh?

blondehelen · 09/02/2006 21:07

sorry northerner, didn't see the pre in pre school

killeryogurt · 09/02/2006 21:17
