My dd has been toilet trained for a a while now.she never accidents and never wet bed. Until lately she keeps coming home from nursery and also having them at home. At first she told me the lady in nursery would not let her so went in and spoke to them. She started doing ot at home she says she can't get there in time or she says she can't remember.she s heartbroken when she get found out but she sometimes does it then hide her dirtyknickers . I'her dad thinks ahem should get told of for it but I'm worried something mifhtbe going on as really isn't like her to misbehave .does anyone have any advice how to handle this.

I'd take her to the GP and get her checked for a UTI. This is often the cause of accidents. A lot of small children forget to go in time as they are too engrossed in what they are doing so it's useful to ask her if she needs to go. Being told off for it won't help as it will make her anxious.

Yer that's what I told my husband.its strange that she hasn't wet the bed though and it did stop for a while.I have an appointment for this afternoon at doctors.should I take her wee sample with me if so in what x

Yes. Just use a clean jar, all they need to do is put a stick in it. It's not likely to be a UTI if she's dry at night but it's worth a check. I'd keep asking her if she needs the toilet. Toilet training isn't easy, she'll get there though. Smile

My 4yo ds went through a phase of this recently - it was so frustrating as he had been completely reliable before it, and was suddenly having several accidents a day, particularly at preschool.

In his case it was definitely just a him being too lazy/busy to get himself to the loo before it was too late. It was also a phase when I really noticed him developing in loads of other ways - for example he was suddenly very good at drawing and writing his name - so I wonder if his brain was just focusing on other things!

I tried a sticker chart, bribery and constantly taking him to the toilet, but in the end it just seemed to tail off after a couple of months.

She never has wet the bed she a always been dry never gets up for a wee ill or not which I always find strange.not that I should complain . I will find something to take up. X
yer tikka she s the same loves writing and loves sitting and writing.so could be just being lazy but a sticker chart sounds very good ill see what doctor says first.just want to go about tin right way as I don't want her to have to hide them from me but her dad can be strict and bedtime if she does it.it causes argument between us as he thinks I'm too soft x

My dd was like this. It turned out to be constipation.

Ah that's interesting DeWe - we've been having problems with DS and I wondered if that was the problem.

Shall try upping the movicol slightly to see if it helps the situation - helpful, thanks :)
