6 mo old suddenly waking every hour. Help!

Our 6 and 1/2 mo dd has never been a great sleeper and has been waking 2-3 times a night at fairly erratic times for the past few months. But last night and the night before she was waking every hour! Not necessarily wanting a feed, sometimes just to be shushed and patted, sometimes required 2 minute feed and then asleep again. I had to bring her into the bed as I couldn't bear standing over her cot shushing her in the wee hours but this has the disadvantage of waking dh as well.
I am racking my brains at what could be causing this. We started solids a few weeks ago (blw so not really eating that much), I can't find any symptoms of teething and doesn't seem in pain at all, I've put fewer layers on her because of the heat... I don't know. Any suggestions?
Please tell me this will end.

Could be that she isnt getting enough food from the weaning. Rather than doing purely BLW, give her some food to feed herself with and shovel in a bit of mashed up something or other at the same time. Its what I have done with all of mine and you get the best of both worlds, they learn to feed themselves but they are getting enough food.

Other than that, how are her nappies? Any difference there?

Hi Bogeyface, thanks for the advice. She is currently feeding herself porridge and yogurt with a spoon I load for her but maybe I'll try some more things.

I have definitely noticed a difference in her nappies in terms of consistency so she seems to be getting some food.
We're at two meals a day (breakfast and lunch) so maybe if I give her something later it will help.
