Wonderful! Apart from when he does it 4 times in the middle of the night and cries until I put him back on his back because he can't roll the other way yet! Aaaargh! Please tell me it doesn't take too long for them to learn to roll back??!

My 19 week old can roll front to back for 4 weeks but can't roll from back to front. Do you do tummy time in the daytime so he can practise and strengthen his muscles. At his age he shouldn't be taking too much longer to learn now.

I also read somewhere that each time they learn a new skill they will wake a few times in the night just to practise and then go back to normal sleeping patterns after a few days of it.

He can roll back to front. He's pretty strong and can keep his head and neck up for a while but then he cries for help

My 6mo is the same. He's been able to roll over back to front for about 3 weeks now but still can't go the other way. He's now learnt to only roll over in his cot when he wants to get up anyway so the extra night wakings did stop. Now he thinks we should be able to change his nappy while he's on his tummy...

It'll pass. And suddenly.

This was one developmental spurt both dc thankfully missed out. They both rolled both ways at 12 weeks (which brings its own problems Grin). But I spent many a long night going to my nieces (helped out a lot with them) who would roll over and get stuck. Took maybe a couple of weeks max with both of them.
