please don't laugh.

DS has done six unassisted steps in between DH and I. We're pleased as punch (PFB!) but don't want to get ahead of ouselves...can we say that these are his forst steps??

yes they are Grin

Yes definitely first steps. Six is grand. In a day or two he will be doing twenty. Then you're in trouble Wink

Ah, that's lovely! You'll not believe how quickly his walking will develop and within a year he'll be running! Am also having a PFB moment today Grin (we have 3 DCs). DS is 7.9 and today rode his bike for the first time ever by himself, wobbling along. He's a late starter with this and we've been anxious for him to get it, but I'm ever so proud! These moments are the ones you remember x

The sun shining so beautifully has certainly helped to cement this in the memory bank!! Smile x

Yes, of course!!! He has certainly taken his first steps. Walking properly will take a while longer but you have definitely reached the big milestone Smile

Awww, definitely first steps, how lovely. In a month's time you'll find it strange to look back to when he couldn't walk.

Now, how can I get my DD2 to follow suit? She's been walking clutching our hands for over a month and I'm getting really tired of bending over!

BabydollsMum · 26/03/2012 10:49

I would say so, yes, seeing as my DD took three steps, we got excited and told grandparents etc, then she put on a bit of weight and had a little two-week break. Now she's running away from me!

LittleMilla · 26/03/2012 11:16

I am panicking slightly as DS has got talipes in his right foot - which means it's out at a right angle. He might have to have it in cast for 8 weeks (GP said so last week!) so I am praying that his new walking will self-correct it without any intervention. Just got to see specialist now...

Massive fingers crossed!

The walking will help! DS had positional talipe in the right foot bent upwards/inwards which corrected with walking. was mild though, physio always said no likely need for a cast.
